Rainbow Cookies

Cookie loves cookies, especially the cookies from the Cookie Cubby. But when the owner’s Pride Month offering leaves a sour taste in some community members’ mouths, Cookie rallies friends and neighbors into a sweet show of support in this poignant, positive picture book. Delicate, painterly illustrations utilize rainbows in inventive ways, such as in a subtle outline around characters or through the blended string of a balloon; an affirming variety of families and gender expressions are showcased, too.
