On July 23rd, 1994, a beautiful afternoon on the coast of Maine, an isolated thunder and lightning storm unexpectedly exploded while Nancy Freund Bills's husband and her younger son were sea kayaking. Her son, Teddy, only twenty, was in critical condition. Nancy vowed to tell their story with love and with courage.
