Hudson Hates School

Poor Hudson! He can’t stand school, especially on Fridays, when spelling tests embarrass him in front of his classmates. He just can’t get the hang of it, and doesn’t understand why. Luckily, Hudson’s teacher recognizes signs of dyslexia and Hudson begins meeting with a tutor who explains why his brain works differently and has to try even harder to make sense of printed words—odds are he’s more creative! Everything begins falling into place. The book’s author/illustrator is dyslexic and manages to remove the fear and stigma from this challenging condition. Ages four to eight.
