The Tiger Child

A bashful girl is lured outside by a whisper on the breeze: “come, child, into the wild.” An adventure ensues in the depths of her garden; she discovers that “magic is everywhere,” and that her imagination can unlock all perceived boundaries. There are elephants and monkeys to encounter and chasms to cross in the night; in a supportive tiger’s eyes, the girl discovers the untamable parts of herself as well. The vibrant-hued illustrations pair manga-styled characterizations, glittering stars, and glowing eyes with natural embellishments, all sure to awaken the adventurer in the reader’s heart, too.
