The Fairy Song

A young girl, frustrated with her regimented life, escapes to a land of magic in this whimsical, watercolor tale. Rose and her family are poor: her parents insist on chores rather than playing with local children, and her shoes are worn from walks to the market. After following a fairy song, Rose is invited to stay with the fairies, but finds she misses her parents and their life together, however hard. Upon her return, the family finds common ground and a compromise that benefits everyone.
