Starred Review:

Every Little Kindness

A stunning example of wordless storytelling, this picture book follows a single act of kindness as it changes lives throughout a city—before coming back around. A distressed woman packs up her lunch and heads out to hang posters for her missing dog, but gifts her bright-red apple to a man playing guitar on a park bench. A stranger sees this, and so begins a trail of good deeds, easy to follow by the touches of red within speckled illustrations reminiscent of aged photographs.
