Captain's Log

Snowbound

View Ernest Shackleton’s famous Antarctic expedition through the eyes of an elementary schooler snowbound the day before his big “All About Explorers” project is due. Taking on the role of captain and assigning the rest of the crew’s jobs to his family, the young explorer uses his wild imagination to re-create a journal of events, including a scuffle or two with an elusive scallywag. Amusing illustrations integrate historical notes and facts with plenty of snow-day fun.
