Two-List Thanksgiving

A Korean American girl helps her mother prepare to host Thanksgiving in this warm, celebratory picture book about the joy of intermingling cultures. Though the two sides of her family have quite different tastes, the girl hopes to satisfy both. Thus she and her mother visit two different markets, picking up ingredients like persimmons and cranberries as they go; the girl practices her Korean, too. At the table, her family members are happy to try each other’s cuisines. The food-and-family focused illustrations are lively, showing that, in this welcoming setting, you can have your turkey and kimchi and eat them too!
