Starred Review:

The Girl and the Dinosaur

In a seaside town filled with practical fisherfolk, a young girl discovers a magical world in her dreams. Marianne’s imagination conjures a place where children play gleefully in the starlight and on the backs of a fantasy array of creatures. It’s a beautiful reverie complete with fairies, unicorns, dinosaurs, and possibilities. Rhyming verses with a lovely lilt describe how Marianne’s lonely days transform when friends made while riding dinosaurs become real playmates on the beach under the sun.
