Red and Green and Blue and White

In a neighborhood sea of Christmas decorations and holiday cheer, Isaac’s is the lone home not decked out in red and green lights. And even though he and his friend, Teresa, express their holiday excitement together, Isaac knows that their celebrations are not the same. It could get lonely! But when strangers see Isaac’s menorah and lash out in hatred, Teresa is not content to let her friend be brave alone. Artfully smudged, staggered illustrations light up this moving tale about community solidarity.
