Look Up
Beneath a canopy of trees in a wide, green land, a man’s attention is pulled to the sky. Wonderment directs his days—until self-consciousness prompts him to fade in with the crowd, looking down and getting lost in routines. Time becomes unremarkable until his curiosity is sparked again: peering down into a vast pit, he is awakened to wonder by what emerges. Warm hues and soft, multiplying details mark the rich illustrations, wherein stark patterns reflect conformity and flurries of color have an enlivening effect, jarring audiences from complacency to bring attention back to the natural world.
