Hello Little Ones

This joyful board book draws comparisons between animal behaviors and childhood play, imparting subtle lessons about interspecies empathy along the way. Across the bright, upbeat two-page spreads, striking similarities are noted: a purple, big-eyed fish moves across on page, while at its opposite, a blissful swimming girl makes her “legs kick and flutter and my bubbles blow and sputter”; a rotund bear sleeps the winter away on one page, and a child cozies into a blanket cave to read through the cold on the next. Both daily rhythms and outdoor adventures are represented in this treat for “wild little ones.”
