The Night Giant

Perspective is everything in this fun, sweet picture book about a village that is subjected to mysterious, mischievous acts when the sun goes down and a child giant comes out to play. The villagers wake to find their benches stacked and their roofs switched, but no footprints left behind; beneath the stars, the fuzzy giant bobs in the bay, straps cars to his feet, and leaves questions in his wake. Myths are generated by each move that he makes, and the dreamy illustrations, awash in soft midnight blues and bursts of yellow light, capture it all from both sides.
