The Can Man

Tim wants a skateboard for his birthday, but he knows his parents can’t afford it. Inspired by the Can Man, a neighborhood homeless man who scours the garbage for cans he can return for cash, Tim starts to gather cans on his own. He collects seven bags! But now he has a choice to make: he knows that the cans will help the Can Man, Mr. Peters, to buy a new warm coat, and the snow is starting to fly. A modern story of kindness and its rewards, with warm illustrations.
