A Most Vivid Day!

2010 INDIES Finalist
Finalist, Picture Books (Children's)

Tommy the Bat has never seen colors, because he lives in the nighttime, with its dark grays. A helpful caterpillar encourages him to stay up until sunrise, when the sun arrives to paint the world and its animals with color. Tommy wants to be painted, too, and gets in line. But when the sun runs out of color, and leaves to get some more, the cloud gets upset and starts to rain. Tommy has to take action to keep all the world’s color from washing away. This is a whimsical little story with charming watercolor illustrations and a plucky little bat. For ages four to eight.
