A Friend Is a Friend Is a Friend

Colorful, quite detailed pen-and-ink illustrations vivify this peppy picture book about summer camp adventures, in which a child is nervous about making new friends. Talking to the children around her, she learns that friendship can transcend language barriers, differing interests, and fears, and that it is based on mutual care and listening. Indeed, friendship comes in all shapes and sizes and can even involve flights of the imagination! This is an encouraging tale about finding your place among others when you’re far from home.
