The Tyger Voyage

This reissuing of the classic tale by Richard Adams (Watership Down) takes readers on a journey alongside a father-and-son tiger pair as they sail treacherous seas, climb an impervious peak, escape an erupting volcano, and wander with a family of gypsies. Adults, maybe more so than children, will find themselves immersed in Adams’s storytelling as they read it aloud—the rhyme and meter are enchanting and bold. Elegant, ornate, and colorful, the illustrations depict Victorian England and an island landscape gorgeously. Ages six and up.
