Among the freaks of Oliver Neil’s Marvelous Carnival, Manny Dobra longs to find his place. A skilled artist, Manny lives in the shadow of his dead father’s talent. His summer is spoiled by the arrival of bully Ron bully and the Order of the Lions’ Den, hellbent on wiping out all carnivals. Manny realizes that what he finds lovely is considered abominable by outsiders. With the help of his friends Manny must find his footing in a world of human curiosities, both the beautiful and the ugly.
