Construir Una Carretera

Building a highway is the focus of this educational, Spanish-language title. Activities depicted include staking the land, machines excavating earth, dumping cement, rolling the pieces smooth, and sealing them with hot tar. With exclamations such as “Cataplum!” young listeners will easily imagine the noisy (ruidosa) progress. The addition of traffic arrows, overhead signs, nighttime lights, and roadside plantings are all frosting on a timeless story relayed with spirit and style. Ages two and up.
